2010 Leggiero UnOaked Chardonnay
$25.00 The best Italian Chardonnay hails from the cool climate region of Alto Adige. Almost always made in an un-oaked fashion, it is a wine that expresses the pure minerality of Chardonnay with beautiful acidity and soft fruit flavours. The 2010 Leggiero offers up a balance of apple, lemon rind, melon and natural minerality. The palate is crisp with a great burst of citrus and apricot on the mid-palate that plays into a long finish.

The palate welcomes a range of red berry flavours with cinnamon spice and anise on the finish. This style of rosato will compliment any hot summer day on the patio. A rare release as Cabernet Sauvignon does not make a monumental wine every vintage. A great nose of cassis and cigar box intermixed with pain grille and a melange of red and black currants. On the palate there is a great weight, firm and present tannins with a balanced level of acidity. We are very excited to follow the development of this wine!
